Yes a Dairy Farmer wakes up so early, in-fact they wake up at 4:30am to milk the cows! But more about that later. I am only 11yrs old but I decided that I wanted to go on the farm early with my Dad. He woke me up at 4:15am ready to go on the farm, I put on all my warm farming clothes because it was raining. We helped draft, tail paint and milk the cows, it was an awesome experience, all the farmers and helpers were really kind to me. Another experience was A.I that started at 8:30am. It was our A.I technician's last day, which meant it was time for a new one. A big thanks to Lloyd and Robyn our last A.I technicians which sadly had to leave, they were such a huge help and I can't wait for them to come back next year! Lets talk more about why the wake up so early. If they didn't milk early in the morning they would have to waste time milking during the day which would be a pain because they could be getting other jobs done. Another reason is that the cows get milked 2 times a day, once in the morning and once at night if the gap between the morning and night is not big enough, the cows wouldn't make enough milk for the countries around the world. Did you know that Cows don't just make milk they make: milk, milk powder, ice-cream, chocolate, yoghurt, butter, cream and lots of other stuff!!! I hope you enjoyed this article about the early mornings, please email me any other article ideas you would like.
P.S do this at the review page:)
