Kittens!

So, I'm sure by now that you would have heard that my cat Chloe had kittens, 1 ginger and 4 tabby. But the truth is we didn't even find the kittens until they were 2 days old and we only sort-of knew the cat was pregnant. The whole thing was pretty much just 1 BIG surprise!

The story goes like this....

One day during the holidays I noticed the the cat was much skinner and wanted a whole heap of extra food, so I said to dad " has the cat had it's kittens, or something?" (I was kinda joking) and dad replied with "yeah, I'd say so". I was mind blown! The thought that my cat had, had kittens was amazing, crazy and super surprising! But one thing was wrong, I didn't know where the kittens were, how on earth was I going to find them (keep in mind my cat has the whole farm to herself, she can go anywhere, I mean anywhere.)

I came up with a brilliant plan to follow her when she left to go and feed them, I had to be super quiet though, so she wouldn't see or hear me. I followed her across our driveway and to an old shearing shed. After she went in there I didn't see her again and I figured that's where they were, but it was night, so I decided to look for them the next day. Thats exactly what I did, I spent pretty much the whole day looking for those kittens. I started at the complete opposite end of the barn and searched high and low. I slowly made my way from one door to another. Just as I was about to finish my sister Sophia came over to see how I was going. She came in and picked up a large plastic sheet from off the ground, believe it or not under that plastic, was a hole in the ground with 5 little kittens and Chloe in it. I slowly reached my hand down the hole and picked up 1 of the 5 tiny kittens. I was in disbelief, my cat had kittens, and we had found them!!

These kittens are now 3 weeks old and learning how walk and run!
